Mark provides planning expertise to business owners, high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals and their families in the areas of tax, business succession, retirement and estate planning. Mark works closely with client’s professional advisors to identify priority issues, develop solutions and implement strategies to build and maintain wealth.
Prior to joining Gluskin Sheff, Mark worked as a Financial Planning Specialist at RBC Wealth Management where he prepared comprehensive financial plans for business owners, high net worth individuals and their families to devise effective planning strategies in the areas of income tax, estate, succession and risk management. Previously, he was a dedicated tax professional in private practice, assisting clients in the sale of their businesses, tax-efficient shareholder compensation, corporate reorganizations and post-mortem planning. Mark has also been an instructor for the In-Depth Tax Course administered by Chartered Professional Accountants Canada.
Mark is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and has completed levels I and II of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course. He holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Mathematics degrees from the University of Waterloo.
