Michael joined ONCAP in 2000. Previously he was head of the Private Equity Group at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, one of Canada’s largest institutional investors in private equity. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of VERSUS Technologies Inc. Michael is a Chartered Professional Accountant, CA.
As Executive Chair, Michael has responsibility for supporting Adam and Steve as they lead ONCAP, participating in investment decision-making, supporting team development, leading the relationship between ONCAP and Onex, meeting founders and CEOs of potential future ONCAP OPCOs, and connecting with limited partner investors. He also sits on a number of the operating company Boards of Directors.
Michael holds an Honours in Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
