  • Alignment

    A pillar of our culture is our commitment to financial alignment. We do not raise pools of capital in which we are not a significant investor. In addition to owning approximately 16 million of Onex’ outstanding shares, the Onex team has also invested approximately $500 million, $300 million and $60 million in our private equity, credit and wealth management platforms, respectively.

    If we won’t invest in it, we won’t ask you to do so.

  • Entrepreneurial

    Our team takes an entrepreneurial approach to investing. We seek to work with talented chief executives who want to grow their businesses and embrace the change necessary to make it happen.

  • Experience

    Onex is led by an Executive Committee comprised of the firm’s founder and CEO, Gerry Schwartz, and four Senior Managing Directors. Collectively, these executives have more than 155 years of investing experience and have worked at Onex for an average of 28 years. Onex’ stability results from its ownership culture, rigorous recruiting standards and highly collegial environment.

    The leaders of our private equity platforms have an average of 32 years of industry experience.

    The leaders of our credit platform have an average of 33 years of industry experience.

    The leaders of our wealth management platform have an average of 31 years of industry experience.
